Good Shepherd Lutheran Church News

The 26th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, St. Bronislava Catholic Church, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, and The Springs Methodist Church will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in the dining hall at St. Bronislava.  The dinner is free of charge to anyone in the Plover/Stevens Point area and surrounding communities who would like to share a meal and fellowship with others on Thanksgiving Day.  Last year over 700 guests enjoyed a tasty meal.  If you know someone who would like to come to the dinner, please let them know about it.

If you would like to provide some assistance with the dinner, here are some ways you can help.

·          Bring a pie, other dessert, sweet bread, or Jell-o in a non-returnable container to St. Bronislava’s kitchen any time during the day on Wednesday or Thursday morning before 9:30.

·          Bring a can of corn, carrots, peas, or beans to Good Shepherd.  There will be a box in the Welcome Area from November 8th through the 24th for these donations.

·          Volunteer to help prepare and serve the dinner.  If you would like to help on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thanksgiving Day, please call Suzanne at 715-341-4054 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. for your time and task commitment or register online at www.tiny.cc/communitythanksgiving

·         If you would like to deliver meals to shut-ins or drive people to and from the dinner, please call Good Shepherd at 341-6122 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

·         Provide a cash gift to help defray the costs of the meal.  Donations can be sent to Good Shepherd and designated for the Thanksgiving Dinner.

If you would like more information, please call Good Shepherd at 341-6122.

The support of the church community is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
