"Marriage is a gift of God,
intended for the joy and mutual strength of those who enter
it and for the well-being of the whole human family.
The church in worship surrounds the promises made with the
gathering of God's people. the witness of the word of God,
and prayers of blessing and intercession"
~Evangelical Lutheran Worship~
We rejoice with you for the love God has given
to you for one another. As you begin your journey
towards making your life-long commitments
and
into your life together it is important to surround yourself
with a community of love and support. Your promises
are made individually but are supported by the entire
community for friends, family, and loved ones.
At Good Shepherd, couples desiring to be married will meet
with one of our pastors at least three times prior to the
wedding ceremony. This helps the couples prepare for
the wedding and for their marriage. If you would like
to be married at Good Shepherd please contact the church
office.
